This morning, Zscaler, a San Jose, CA- based Security Cloud services provider, announced the availability of pre-integrated Single Sign-On options from their channel partners. SSO systems allow users access to a number of web sites and web-based applications without needing to constantly login. Zscaler is the first provider of their kind to offer these pre-integrated SSO options.
“Safely enabling the use of cloud-based applications and social media control can challenge even the most sophisticated organizations,” explained Zscaler Vice President of Business Development, Punit Minocha, in a press release today. “By combining Zscaler’s Security Cloud with solutions from our identity partners, enterprises can accelerate user protections and productivity control of their cloud applications, social media, and mobile devices.”
Zscaler currently works with their channel partners, OneLogin, Okta, Ping Identity and RSA to offer the SSO integrations to their customers. All of these channel partners utilize the open standard data language, SAML (security assertion mark-up language) to ensure that users’ private data remains secure.
Additional features of these new offerings include:
- Free licenses available from most Zscaler partners
- Immediate full support for any SSO integration implemented
- Users may choose their desired Zscaler partner
- Option to use existing RSA SecurID authentication
- Compatible with Active Directory to allow users to have the same credentials as their internal system for monitoring and accountability functionality.
- SSO enabled for cloud-based applications, such as Salesforce, Dropbox and Office365, Social media applications, including Twitter, Facebook and Youtube and mobile-based apps, including banking, news and Linkedin applications.
