WatchGuard Technologies today announced that it has named Prakash Panjwani, formerly of SafeNet, as its new CEO. In addition, Panjwani and current CEO Mike Kohlsdorf will both be joining the company’s Board of Directors.
Panjwani brings with him 12 years of experience at SafeNet. During his time there, he moved from the GM and SVP of the Data Protection sector, to the position of CEO. He also presided over the acquisition of 12 companies, including Cryptocard, and helped the company adapt to emerging sales models.

His keen understanding of the security space, combined with his leadership expertise will help ensure WatchGuard continues to deliver powerful security solutions to organizations around the world.”
Panjwani is expected to start his term as active CEO this May.
