Yesterday, telecom distributor Novus announced their new program for Microsoft Partners. The Endpoint Affiliate Program will run throughout 2013 and is designed to work with these MS Partners to provide endpoints for users who are looking to deploy a Microsoft Lync Enterprise Voice solution.
According to Novus, this is a highly collaborative program through which Microsoft Partners give the company permission to directly engage end users to help them find the proper Microsoft-approved devices for their organization. The current list of approved devices ranges from cameras, headsets, IP Desk Phones and Meeting Room Devices. Novus will only contact Microsoft Partner customers with direct permission, however, and will be able to provide training, installation and tech support for the Lync endpoints. Under this program, the Microsoft Partner is able to gain better understanding of the different endpoint options currently available, as well as a rebate for up to $9 per endpoint.
“At Novus, we want to help Partners recognize new revenue opportunities related to offering Microsoft Lync Enterprise Voice and provide the telephony expertise to facilitate more Lync deployments,” explained Chris Meehan, Managing Partner, Novus, LLC, in a press release yesterday.
To participate in the program, an organization must be an authorized Microsoft Partner. In addition, the organization must be willing to actively work with Novus to select the best device for their client. Any potential lead information may be submitted through the Endpoint Affiliate Program registration page for consideration. Novus has stipulated that any lead submitted must be new and that they would inform MS Partners of any ineligible clients. No information shared between Novus and the Microsoft Partner will be distributed or shared with any additional parties.
