Last week, Level Platforms announced an integration partnership with Symantec that will bring updated functionality from the Symantec Backup Exec Service Module to MSPs currently using Managed Workplace. This partnership came about as a result of Symantec’s participation in Level Platforms’ Vendor Alliance Program.
“With our expanding Vendor Alliance Program we are partnering with leading vendors, including Symantec, to establish Managed Workplace as the single platform for MSPs to manage the full range of technologies impacting the IT experience for their end-customers,” said Gordon Rielly, CTO, Level Platforms, in a press release yesterday. “Our collaboratively designed Symantec Service Modules, including the updated Backup Exec and the soon-to-be-released Endpoint Protection Service Module, provide our Partners with a new level of insight, responsiveness and automation within their Managed Workplace workflow so they can better serve their end-clients.”
Features of the updated Symantec Backup Exec Service Module include:
- Support for Backup Exec 2010 and 2012.
- Multi-Site view which monitors backup status of all sites.
- Multiple backup server functionality, which enables MSPs to run and monitor different backup types on multiple backup servers.
- Remote access to Backup Exec from the Managed Workplace platform.
This solution is now available to Level Platforms partners via the Update Center. For more information, please visit the site here.
