At the Citrix Synergy 2013 event earlier this week, CA Technologies announced that their updated solution, the CA Infrastructure Management 2.2, will offer support for Citrix, XenDesktop 7. This announcement is the result of 8 months of collaboration between the two companies, and the new support will offer a streamlined management process for mutual partners.
“CA Technologies is committed to supporting Citrix to help ensure a successful deployment of Citrix XenDesktop 7,” said Mike Sargent, general manager, Service Assurance, CA Technologies, in a press release this week. “Citrix XenDesktop 7 unifies virtual applications and desktops and we expect that, combined with the new features and functionality in our latest version of CA Infrastructure Management, Citrix XenDesktop 7 will deliver exactly what customers are looking for to help solve their requirements in terms of mobility, simplicity and security.”
In particular, MSP partners of Citrix and CA Technologies will have access to in-depth analytics information, including metrics, overall infrastructure performance and error reports, which can be used to correct any issues before they affect the end-user. In a press release this week, CA Technologies explained that they will be developing and releasing subscription-based pricing levels for MSPs over the next few weeks.
