Here we go again! As I do each week, I am really enjoying bringing our readers a quick round-up of the blog coverage

I didn’t manage to get to during the week prior. It has been a bit of taking a breather here for us, since we wrapped up our Spring Conference and SMB 150 Awards Gala just over a week ago. But the quiet before the storm hasn’t lasted for long…before you know it, we will be gearing up for our annual fall event to be held Oct. 10-12 in Las Vegas at the Rio!

Please take some time to peruse a few snippets of information that we didn’t get a chance to bring you last week….let us also know if there was something we might have missed, which is not mentioned in this entry…because as you know…we love news!

1.) CA Technologies, Eaton Partner on Data Center Infrastructure Management:Eaton and CA Technologies last week signed an agreement to deliver a data center monitoring, management and control solution in North America. The turnkey solution will combine Eaton’s power management hardware and software with CA Technologies Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) technology – empowering data center managers to increase operational efficiency, mitigate risk and enhance performance.
The combined solution will also enable managed service providers to grow their businesses by providing high-value DCIM-as-a-service offerings that include monitoring and maintenance of customers’ critical infrastructure and business systems.

2.) Metalogix Launches Content Infrastructure Software for SharePoint Programs: Metalogix, the leading provider of content infrastructure software to improve the use and performance of enterprise content on Microsoft SharePoint, Exchange and Cloud platforms, today announced the launch of Content Matrix Migration Express to make SharePoint migrations simple and fast.

The new Migration Express edition is highly suited for SharePoint customers with focused migrations or Office 365 deployment projects. The new product is available as a free offering for 25 GBs along with additional small and departmental editions opportunistically priced and purchased online via credit card from Metalogix.com.

3.) Zultys Introduces MX Release 8.0 Unified Communications Software: Zultys last week unveiled MX Release 8.0 for its MX Unified Communications platform.

Zultys MX Release 8.0 builds on the simplicity of Zultys’ All-in-One, SIP based Unified Communication architecture through the introduction of MXnetwork Redundancy and enhancements to MXcluster Redundancy, further strengthening the disaster recovery and resiliency capabilities.

MX Release 8.0 is available to download immediately. Existing customers with a current software subscription are eligible for free access to the upgrade and should contact their Zultys Authorized Channel Partner for further information.

4.) Catalyst Telecom Now Offering EMC Storage Solutions: Catalyst Telecom, is now, through an OEM relationship, offering storage solutions from EMC Corporation. Through this OEM relationship, Catalyst is providing unified communications and data solutions that incorporate EMC VNX and VNXe unified storage solutions with Avaya IP Office, Avaya’s unified communications solution, specially designed to meet the communications challenges facing small and medium enterprises.

By incorporating and offering EMC’s VNX and VNXe storage technology along with Avaya IP Office through Catalyst Telecom’s Custom Configuration Center, reseller partners have ready, cost-effective access to a complete solution.

5.) Ingram Micro Earns Access to Cisco GSA Schedule: Ingram Micro Inc. announced it has expanded its General Services Administration (GSA) schedule to include Cisco's entire portfolio of channel-friendly technology products and solutions. The GSA Schedules program establishes long-term, government-wide contracts with commercial firms to provide federal agencies with access to commercial supplies and services.

Ingram Micro became a GSA Schedule holder in 2012 as a result of its strategic acquisition of Promark, a value added distributor (VAD) with a core technology focus on data storage, data management and electronic document imaging products and services.
