Vonage recently announced that its President, Wain Kellum, is currently a finalist in EY’s Entrepreneur of the Year 2014 Awards for the US Southeast Region. Mr. Kellum is counted among 24 finalists in his region, and the winner is slated to be announced on June 26 at a gala event.
The EY Entrepreneur of the Year Awards program is now in its 28th year, and is known for its recognition of entrepreneurs who demonstrate outstanding commitment to their organizations and communities, as well as for their innovation in their chosen field. Winners are selected by an independent panel of judges. As of this year, EY’s Entrepreneur of the Year Awards will take place in 145 cities in over 60 countries.
Mr. Kellum was also the former CEO of Vocalocity, and became the President of Vonage once the two companies merged.
“It is truly an honor to be considered for an award that continues to recognize the entrepreneurial spirit that has built so many great companies,” said Mr. Kellum, in a press release this week. “I'm very proud of my team's hard work and dedication in driving the incredible growth of Vocalocity, culminating in the Company's acquisition by Vonage.”
