Earlier this week, Strategy Analytics released the results of a study conducted in October 2012 concerning the technology device market in the US. The study found that the Apple iPhone is well-seated to remain in first place for 2013.
Strategy Analytics polled 2285 Americans as to which device they were more likely to buy. Out of the 23 choices, which included smartphones, digital cameras, blu-ray player and smart TVs, 23.5% responded that they would purchase an iPhone over any other option. Android smartphones, portable PCs and the Apple iPad were the next highest in the survey results with 21.6%, 17.4% and 15.3% respectively.
Another survey result showed that intention to purchase TVs rose strongly from the previous year, though Blu-Ray disc players and laptops (PC and Mac) have dropped significantly.
