It came to our attention earlier this week that StartupNation has launched a competition honoring the leading moms in business. In the last few years, the number of mom-owned businesses has grown, powering the lifeblood of the U.S. economy. In order to honor these women, StartupNation is conducting its fourth annual ranking of these entrepreneurs and the businesses they run.

To determine the best of the best, the contest is conducted much like our own SMB 150 Awards in that StartupNation will be accepting nominations. From that nomination list, contestants will seek out daily votes from their personal network community to determine the Top 10 of these leading “businessmoms.” Once the 10 semi-finalists are determined, a judging panel will decide on the top 3 finalists, and ultimately the winner.
