Qliktag Software Inc. announced that it has strategically acquired epcSolutions’ Data Aggregator Software and related technology as well as social media and digital agency Buzzfactory Interactive Pvt. Ltd.
Acquiring epcSolutions’ technology is very strategic to Qliktag, as its assets will integrate well with current Qliktag solutions and Qliktag will obtain its existing customers. Nutrifacts, a mobile app for scanning groceries and product barcodes to receive nutritional information as well as discounts, is a significant part of the acquisition.
"The software platform we've built at Qliktag over the last two years has revolutionized in-store retail engagement and mobile merchandising by creating interactive, mobile-enabled environments where shoppers can use their smartphones to engage with and learn more about products they intend to buy," says Dilip Daswani, CEO of Qliktag. "The Nutrifacts asset from epcSolutions will integrate well with our solutions, and we plan to invest in developing the software further."
India-based Buzzfactory will allow Qliktag to improve their social media, content creation and digital campaign development, strengthening Qliktag’s in-store mobile merchandising and engagement technology platform.
