Wow – it’s always great to hear from old friends as the holidays approach. Exclaimer, an SMB ISV, was a deep friend of the family in the mid-2000s with our parent company, SMB Nation. After a river boat ride in 2007 at Jeff Middleton’s IT Pro SBS migration conference, I even crafted a cover story in our SMB PC magazine. Time passed until today when I received this reach out. Long story short – this SMB ISV has deftly pivoted to Office 365 while sticking to the knitting. It’s a win-win. Read on.
Here’s a bit of background about Exclaimer, Ltd. It is based in the UK and it was incorporated in 2001. It has achieved the Microsoft Gold Application Developer Certification, and it has also received industry recognition for its Signature Manager Product line.
With today’s addition of the Signature Manager Office 365 Edition, Exclaimer has sought to meet a growing industry trend: migrations to Office 365. Currently, IT admins need to develop and execute PowerShell scripts to manage signature migration, a feature that is absent from the native Office 365 migration. To combat this, Exclaimer developed the Signature Manager Office 365 Edition, which allows users to centrally manage all corporate email signatures without the need to access an Exchange Server. Instead, the IT admin can just access the Office 365 Directory and easily migrate signatures.
“Exclaimer’s focus has always been about designing software that we, as IT users, would want,” said Andrew Millington, CEO, Exclaimer. “As a Microsoft Gold Application Development Partner, we want to provide customers with solutions that provide additional value and functionality to core Microsoft technologies. Office 365® is a key part of Microsoft’s current portfolio, so it has been important for us to develop a dedicated version of our email signature software for this platform.”
Additionally, users have the ability to have multiple email signatures and the corporate marketing department can custom-brand company-wide, legally compliant, email signatures to reflect awards, offers, events, etc. Once the offer time has passed, the banners expire from all signatures. Exclaimer is currently offering a 30-day free trial here.
