Earlier today, the NEC Corporation of America (NEC) announced the latest release of its UC for Business software application. The company explained that version 7.0 has been updated to include TouchPoint, a customer interface program with support for global multilingual contact centers.
Additional features of this version include a simple, low-footprint agent desktop, designed for use by employees who need to access the UC system as well as any CRM programs during the workday. The 7.0 version includes the following languages: German, Latin American Spanish and Russian. In addition, the interface updates allow employees to collaborate more in and out of the office, providing them with real-time information about client issues. Management can also capture customer feedback from voice, e-mail and web chat interactions via an integrated reporting feature.
NEC’s UC for Business v. 7.0 also includes Microsoft Lync functionality with the addition of Outdial for Lync. This program allows users access to appointment reminders, as well as access to outbound campaigns and sales campaigns.
Finally, NEC UC for Business 7.0 features database replication, which keeps the standby server updated in the event of a disaster.
