SMB Nation has been serving the Bainbridge Island area since 2001, providing IT Support such as technical helpdesk support, computer support, and consulting to small and medium-sized businesses.

Meet the SMB Kitchen Crew

Third Tier LogoWe recently saw an article on Susan Bradley’s SBSDiva blog regarding an interesting new program from top SBS MVPs. The Enterprise Solutions for Small Business, a project from Third Tier, is an educational program for SMBs to learn the ins and outs of building small business networks. Amy Babinchak of Third Tier graciously took some time to give us a bit more information about this new project.

She explained that the Enterprise Solutions for Small Business will feature webinars, videos, white papers and other materials to help SMBs. The project will be headed by the “SMB Kitchen Crew,” a team that includes well-known MVPs Susan Bradley, Philip Elder, David Shackelford, Boon Tee, Lee Wilbur, Kevin Royalty and Ms. Babinchak herself.

“I had been giving a great deal of thought to what Third Tier’s clients and the small business IT community at large needs in the way of support and training in the post-SBS and Cloud era. Is it enough to write another Unleashed book? Probably not in this era. To do so doesn’t acknowledge the reality that we are all working under. That is that we all need to know A LOT of different technologies, both on-premise and cloud, to be successful today,” Ms. Babinchak said in her blog earlier this month.

The project will have three topic types: Consulting pieces, Technology pieces and Vendor pieces. Consulting pieces will cover Business Value Proposition, while the Technology pieces will covers topics such as Printing, BDR, Security Best Practices, Server 2012 and Hyper-V.  Finally, Vendor pieces will discuss the most commonly-used and most-recommended programs in the sector today. You can learn more about the project topics at Ms. Babinchak’s blog here.

At this time, most of the content will focus on Microsoft technology, but Ms. Babinchak said that the SMB Kitchen Crew plans to include technologies from a long list of cloud vendors in the future.  She announced that the project will run for about 12 months, with an expected project release date of February 1, 2013. At that time, subscribers may sign up for $15.00/month.

Keep an eye on the Enterprise Solutions for Small Business at the Third Tier Blog. We’d like to thank Ms. Babinchak for taking time out of her busy day to chat with us about this exciting program!
