This morning, IceWEB, Inc. announced the release of their new line of all Solid State Unified Storage Products. The new line, IceWEB ERX (Environmentally Responsible Acceleration), is more energy-efficient than previous spindle-style storage devices.
Gaurang Mehta, CTO, IceWEB, outlined the device line’s improved features in a press release today:
“Our new ERX platforms deliver all the IceWEB unified storage award-winning reliability, stability and an enterprise feature-set —key operational metrics for unified storage purchasers—while dramatically enhancing performance through our unique implementations of solid state technology. They are faster, consume less power, generate less heat, and offer IO performance levels exceeding 100K IOPS and 1.2 GB/s. For clients, the Total Cost of Ownership characteristics are greatly enhanced while the environmental impact is significantly minimized.”
