GigaSpaces Technologies recently announced a technology partnership with private cloud company, Nebula. Under the new partnership, GigaSpaces’ Cloudify open-source application management platform would integrate into Nebula’s private cloud system, allowing users to deploy their OpenStack-based private cloud within 24 hours.
In addition, applications could be migrated over to a private cloud with no change to any code or architecture. To create a more seamless migration, the Cloudify system utilizes “application recipes” to automate deployment and migration. These “recipes” include the use of Hadoop, MongoDB, MySQL , Cassandra, as well as DevOps processes from the Nebula One Cloud.
“Our mission has always been to make the deployment and management of application on OpenStack simple,” said Nati Shalom, CTO of GigaSpaces. “With the Nebula partnership, we are able to not only make the application deployment and management simple, but also enable users to build an OpenStack cloud in a matter of hours.”
GigaSpaces Technologies and Nebula will be presenting their new partnership during the OpenStack Summit in Hong Kong, from November 5-8.
