Epson recently announced the debut of eleven WorkForce printer models designed for SMBs, SOHOs, and Engineers. These printer models all utilize the company’s next generation technology, PrecisionCore, which allows for a consistent print quality across the life of the device.
All of the printers announced this week are able to print in color, black and white, and on three types of paper: matte, glossy, plain. In addition, printing speeds have been increased to allow for a faster first page out without warm up. Epson representatives said that the print speed enhancement has been achieved via the use of PrecisionCore print chips that are comprised of a high number of nozzles in a concentrated space. This allows the new print chips to deliver 50,000 droplets per second to paper. Also, each printer can support either two or four print chips, to scale with the organization’s printing needs.
The Epson WorkForce printer line is also enabled to connect via Ethernet, Wi-Fi Direct or general wireless connection, which allows users the capability to print from mobile devices.
For the SMBs, Epson designed the WorkForce Pro line. The 5000 series of this line has a 580 sheet capacity and an estimated 45,000 page per month workload. Users can decide between multifunction and single function versions of this printer. For more information about these printers, please visit the site here.
