This morning, Dell announced a series of enhancements to its PartnerDirect program, including the addition of four new software competencies. In addition, the company announced that today would mark the start of partner program homogenization between Dell and its acquired properties, including Quest Software.
The four new software competencies include:
- Data Protection: Includes application protection, enterprise BDR and virtual protection.
- Information Management: Includes database management, big data and business intelligence analytics, and data integration.
- Security: Includes E-mail, endpoint and network security, along with access and identity management.
- Systems Management: Includes cloud, virtualization, Windows Server management and client management.
“Trained partners sell four times more than their untrained counterparts,” said Marvin Blough, Executive Director of Worldwide Channels and Alliances for Dell Software. “We are very excited to bring our partners a tremendous array of new benefits to expand their revenue potential and the scope of their customer relationships. It is a huge win for all of us to be part of a single program with end-to-end solution offerings and endless possibilities.”
Dell Software partners will have access to marketing funds and instructor-led training, as well as Certified Partner Resource Desk support and the ability to do a mixed competency (hardware and software).
