Dell today announced the launch of their next-generation MDM solution, Dell Boomi. The Dell Boomi division is a part of the company’s Information Management sector and the solution released today marks the first 100% cloud-based MDM designed for mid-market organizations.
Dell Boomi is designed to be cost-effective and easy to use, based from a single interface with single-sign-on capabilities to monitor MDM, data quality and data integration. In addition, the solution offers multi-domain support, bi-directional data flow and almost instantaneous synchronization.
Chris McNabb, Director of Product Management, Dell Boomi, spoke a bit about the solution in a press release today: “Given their complexity and cost, most master data management solutions are simply out of reach for midmarket customers. We’re offering these customers an accessible, easy to use cloud-managed MDM solution that provides short time to value to help ensure their success,” he said.
According to Dell, the Dell Boomi MDM has a four-step focus:
- Define: The Dell Boomi solution features a visual master data entity model with no coding required.
- Deploy: The solution gives users the ability to deploy models into the MDM repository to determine compatibility with source systems.
- Synchronize: Via the Dell Boomi AtomSphere.
- Govern: All data coming into the MDM will be reviewed to prevent/resolve duplicates and correct data entry errors.
