Yesterday, D&H Distributing announced a new “Enablement Training Series” for VARs to pass the required Cisco SMB certification exam. This training series will include modules for two types of Cisco VARs, Engineers and Account Managers, and will feature complimentary on-demand training and live Q&A sessions with Cisco System Engineers. In addition, D&H will give up to two free vouchers to its resellers, which will cover the cost of the exam.
D&H reported that Cisco is requiring all of its Select Certified Partners to complete the SMB Certification by March 3, 2014. This requirement provides a two-fold service for Cisco and its partners, as it enables a full partner update on new Cisco technology, and it will encourage resellers to incorporate more cloud, data center and virtualization options into their sales strategy. Partners who complete the exam will receive a Cisco Select Certification Badge.
