D&H Distributing to Offer RoBo 3D Printers for SMB, Education Sectors

dandhjpgEarlier this week, D&H Distributing announced that is has signed an agreement with San Diego, CA-based RoBo 3D, an upcoming 3D printer manufacturer. This agreement gives D&H exclusive rights to distribute RoBo 3D’s “Fused Deposition Modeling” 3D printers to its SMB and education reseller bases.

According to recent studies, 3D printing is expected to be one of the top technologies in the coming 5 years, particularly in the K-12 and University education sectors. As many of you can guess, the ability to bring flat images from the screen to life has quite an appeal for educators looking to engage students. In fact, RoBo 3D was started by San Diego State University alumni, and the company is also offering a new website platform, called Markable.com, which encourages users to share 3D-printable files and also have the ability to hire freelance 3D printable developers.

“This is a watershed moment when it comes to the level of printing devices that are available through the non-enterprise channel,” said Jeff Davis, D&H’s senior vice president of sales, in a press release this week. “RoBo 3D delivers an outstanding capability to the greater market. We’re proud to support this innovation and introduce it to our customer base, giving them a clear advantage in the form of a cutting-edge solution.”

The RoBo 3D printers available through D&H are priced below the $800.00 mark, allowing SMBs access to the same cutting-edge technologies as their enterprise peers. For more information about these devices, please contact your D&H representative!
