Today, ConnectSolutions announced an upgraded version of its ConnectSolutions Next UC solution, a program that provides collaboration services such as IM, video, audio and web conferencing via Microsoft Lync. The upgrade now allows users to connect their ConnectSolutiosn Next UC system to the recently-released Microsoft Lync 2013 Multitenant Hosting Pack, which enables the use of richer features.
“We are committed to ensuring that organizations of all sizes or types — from SMBs to the largest enterprises — have seamless access to the most advanced UC capabilities,” said Michael Fitzpatrick, CEO and Co-Founder, ConnectSolutions, in a press release today. “This upgrade enables us to combine our “instant on” communication service with Lync’s impressive messaging and presence and video conferencing offering to more organizations and end-users, across multiple devices, including desktop phones, conferencing equipment and video endpoints.”
In particular, the upgrade will bring increased scalability and security control to IT staff, while allowing end-users to access their system via a mobile application or via a web browser, which can be set up in about 10 minutes and, according to ConnectSolutions, may be an alternative to hosting Lync on-premise for organizations without a dedicated IT staff. As part of today’s announcement, all existing ConnectSolutions customers will receive the upgrade for free.
