CompTIA yesterday announced a new forum for the discussion of the opportunities and challenges of mobile technology. The CompTIA Mobility Community will have its first major meeting March 12-13 in Chicago, IL during the Annual Member Meeting.
The primary goal of this community is to develop a mobility roadmap that will analyze current strengths and weaknesses of the mobile market. CompTIA created this community to meet the growing demands of organizations that are pushing for safe, effective mobility plans.
“Many businesses have embraced mobile devices as a way to make their employees more productive and to become more accessible to their customers,” said Dave Sobel, director of partner community for Level Platforms and chair of the CompTIA Mobility Community. “But devices are only a small part of a necessary mobile strategy that makes sense from both a financial and technology standpoint. The IT channel's leadership can and will help them address these issues.”
The executive council for this new community features members such as Dave Sobel, Level Platforms, Heather Murray, Tech Data Corporation, Richard Hutton, Samsung, and Michael Romero, Ingram Micro.
