Citrix recently announced a series of expansions to their suite of mobility solutions. In particular, the company has increased the availability of their choice IT support, data sharing, collaboration and remote access applications for the Android, iOS, Windows RT/8, and BlackBerry OS platforms.
Citrix has added the following functionality to their mobile applications:
- Remote support and remote access capabilities for Samsung Android devices via GoToAssist and GoToMyPC.
- ShareFile availability on Windows 8 tablets and enhanced passcode support for this solution on the Android platform.
- Availability of GoToMeeting for Windows RT and Android devices, which allows users to collaborate via presentations, meetings and reports.
- Citrix’s work collaboration platform, Podio, is now available for the BlackBerry Z10
The company was motivated to enhance these applications based on the rising trend of the mobile workforce. In a press release yesterday, Citrix cited a recent report from Forrester, which showed that 29% of employees around the globe use 3+ devices per day to do their work, often from a variety of locations.
