This morning, Bandspeed announced that they have entered into a partnership with the Broadcom Corporation. Through this partnership, Bandspeed will add their AirMaestro RF Spectrum Analysis technology to two of Broadcom’s software offerings.
In particular, the AirMaestro technology will become a part of Broadcom’s FastPath Unified Access Point and Unified Wireless Switching offerings. This addition will reside directly on the WLAN, via Broadcom’s 802.11n and 802.11ac chipsets, and will allow IT Teams to monitor network traffic to identify, classify and mitigate any sources of RF interference in real-time via an updated interface. This will allow organizations to provide stable and clear wireless for their BYOD and general employees.
“Our partnership with Broadcom helps fulfill our vision of equipping more IT departments and solutions providers with the tools needed to effectively manage enterprise-class WLANs in response to disruptive interference,” explained Bill Eversole, president and CEO, Bandspeed, in a press release today.
Bandspeed and Broadcom expect this integration to go live in the beginning of Q2 2013.
