Today, AVG Technologies released their latest mobile security solutions for Android tablets and smartphones. AVG AntiVirus FREE and PRO 3.1 include an updated user interface and better security features for mobile devices.
“Our customers are increasingly telling us that so much of their daily lives are now connected with their mobile devices, so we recognize the importance of constantly improving the protection available to them,” said Omri Sigelman, VP of Mobile Sales for AVG Technologies, in a press release today. “With a range of different options available to customers we are showing that device protection needn’t cost more than the device it is on or be overly complicated. No matter the budget, the main thing is that our customers feel confident that their devices will be able to support them in their busy digital lives.”
The AVG FREE and PRO editions for Android devices are currently available via Google Play and have the following features:
- AVG FREE: New user interface with easier navigation tools for both smartphone and tablets. The smartphone edition also includes a call and SMS blocker, which is based on users’ “Black and White” list preferences, as well as stolen phone tracking. The FREE version allows users to browse the web safely and create “blocked” site protocols to prevent access to unsavory websites on both tablets and smartphones.
- AVG PRO: The AVG PRO edition shares a lot of the same features as the FREE edition, but includes the option for users to wipe data from their stolen smartphone and improved protection of personal data on both smartphone and tablet devices.
