Artisan Infrastructure Releases Object Based Cloud Storage Platform Trial

Artisan Infrastructure Logo1Earlier this week, Artisan Infrastructure announced that they have added object-based Cloud Storage options to their wholesale IaaS offerings. The main purpose of this new addition is to enable MSPs, VARs and CSPs to build enterprise cloud storage solutions.

The new Object Based Cloud Storage offering is based on the company’s virtual Private Data Center platform, Cornerstone and is offered as a wholesale service only. At this time, the pricing is $0.029 per GB when the offering goes live in October 2013, though there is a 60-day unlimited free trial available now. Users will have complete control over the build, security and management of their cloud services.

“By aligning our cloud-based infrastructure with our extensive ISV ecosystem we allow our service provider partners to take possession of their own industry-leading solutions. This frees them from encroachment by alternative vendors who sell to their partners then compete for the same customers,” explained Brian Hierholzer, CEO, Artisan Infrastructure. “Counter to that, we work with partners to streamline their businesses as they develop and build their own businesses without having to fund their competitors. Our new cloud storage option gives partners the opportunity to extend their portfolios in one of the fastest growing segments of the market.”

According to the company press release this week, enterprise storage needs are growing rapidly, driven primarily by mobility and social media, and many IT departments are being encouraged to pursue newer technologies to keep costs low.
