This morning, ADTRAN, Inc. said that they have added four new IP phones to their VoIP portfolio. The new phones, which include the VVX 300, VVX 310, VVX 400 and VVX 410, are designed to be more intuitive for users and can be deployed on existing hosted or on-premise VoIP networks.
A few key features of the new phones, as announced this morning, include:
- VVX 300: a 6-line phone that is designed for use on low-to-moderate call load extensions. According to ADTRAN, this is a good entry-level phone.
- VVX 400: A 12-line phone that is good for call center employees who often need to manage larger call volumes.
- Gigabit Ethernet interface functionality for the VVX 310 and 410.
- Easy to deploy and maintain, with “zero-touch” provisioning feature.
“ADTRAN’s unique market position in both UC call control for the premises and IP business gateways for hosted voice services gives us unique insight into our customer’s communications needs,” said Bob Locklear, Director of Product Management for ADTRAN’s Enterprise Networks Division, in a press release today. “Combined with flexible deployment options, these new endpoints can reach more customers and add to a complete IP phone portfolio that meets the needs of today’s unified communications applications.”
ADTRAN also announced that the VVX 300 and 400 series can support up to three expansion packs, which can include the addition of 40 programmable key lines or 28 bi-color lines to the device. All phones released this morning feature Polycom technology and are designed to interact with third-party web apps.
