Trend Micro Incorporated announced it has launched its second annual internship program, which provides work experience in a corporate environment and promotes cyber security education for millennial-generation interns.
The program, aptly named the Global Family Internship Program, is generally attended by relatives of Trend Micro employees. It lasts for up to eight weeks and allows interns the opportunity to pursue work in a variety of departments; this variety illustrates the impact of each department in corporate success. Regardless of the field interns choose to pursue, all will learn about cyber threats and the importance of data security.
"Young innovation is critical to the sustainability of our business," says Glenn Harbin, director of human resources, shared services, Trend Micro. "We want this internship to teach students not only about their field of interest, but also about how to integrate into the work environment. Generation Y is one that will redefine the workplace. Therefore, we believe it is our duty to stay ahead of the curve while making every effort to prepare both parties for the assimilation of the millennial generation into the corporate atmosphere."
