Snom Technology AG announced today the start of a major deployment of Lync 2013 with its Snom 710 and 760 UC edition phones for Chula Vista Elementary School District.
According to Chula Vista, which serves 45 schools and more than 29,000 students, the goal of the project is to invest in next-generation IP technology and the cloud to better communication and reduce costs.
Snom was selected for its features and the flexibility of its firmware.
“We are dedicated to the combination of communications and collaboration technologies,” Snom CEO Nadahl Shocair said. “Seamlessly fitting into a broad range of top solution providers, Snom IP phones can be key devices in any UC deployment thanks to our excellent compatibility and rigorous interoperability testing. As an early champion and pioneer in the field, Snom recognized the essential role that unified communications would play across a variety of platforms and devices that have now become part of our daily lives.”
