Pure Storage , an independent solid-state array vendor, announced today Shutterfly, Inc., which delivers photo products and services, deployed 17 FlashArray 420 arrays as part of data center migration.
“We are increasingly seeing forward-thinking market leaders like Shutterfly turn to all-flash storage to drive real value within their business,” said Matt Kixmoeller, vice president of products at Pure Storage. “Whether that's improving conversion rates and reducing abandoned shopping carts for e-Commerce companies or reducing the cost of service delivery while speeding new, differentiated services to market for online infrastructure service providers – the flash revolution is underway.”
Shutterfly’s transition to Pure Storage’s arrays resulted in: 500 percent performance improvement; 4.5:1 average data reduction overall; and the potential to save more than $100,000 in rack space, power and cooling costs in the next three years, according to Pure Storage.
