Here we go again! As I do each week, I am really enjoying bringing our readers a quick round-up of the blog coverage I didn’t manage to get to during the week prior. It has been a bit of taking a breather here for us, since we wrapped up our Spring Conference and SMB 150 Awards Gala just over a week ago. But the quiet before the storm won’t last long…before you know it, we will be gearing up for our annual fall event to be held Oct. 10-12 in Las Vegas at the Rio!

1.) Level Platforms Integrates Manage Workplace RMM with Anchor Networks: Level Platforms said last week that Managed Workplace is the first remote monitoring and management (RMM) platform providing a deep technology integration with Anchor Networks, a provider of secure cloud-based file sync, storage and collaboration solutions for IT service providers.
The Anchor multi-tenant cloud storage, file synchronization, and collaboration solution allows MSPs to easily adopt and manage secure cloud storage service offerings. With the custom Anchor Policy Module, now available to Level Platforms partners through the Partner Portal, MSPs can monitor and manage the performance, health, system activity and uptime of the services that power the Anchor cloud platform from within the Managed Workplace dashboard.
If services are interrupted, Managed Workplace will automatically restart the service and send an alert to the MSP if the reboot fails. Optionally, MSPs can set alerts to receive a notification in the Managed Workplace dashboard any time service is interrupted.
2.) Check Point Software Launches 600 Appliances to Protect SMBs from Cyber Attacks: Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. launched its new 600 Appliances, delivering powerful security to protect small businesses against the latest cyber attacks, including viruses, spam, malicious Websites, among others. The 600 Appliances provide an affordable, all-in-one security solution with market leading performance of 1.5 Gbps of firewall throughput and 37 SecurityPower units.
Check Point's 600 Appliances provide comprehensive security to ensure small business employees and data are protected at all times. The 600 Appliances come pre-loaded with enterprise-class capabilities, including firewall, VPN, intrusion prevention (IPS), anti-virus, anti-spam, application control, and URL filtering. Most notably, the 600 Appliances run the same industry-leading next-generation firewall and threat prevention capabilities found on Check Point products used by all of the Fortune 100.
The 600 appliances are easy to set up and manage even by non-IT professionals. Flexible Web-based management options are offered through a simple and intuitive user interface. And with security policies pre-defined, small businesses can get their security up and running in a matter of minutes.
The Check Point 600 Appliances are suitable for small offices of up to 100 employees and come in three models (620, 640, and 680), starting at $399. Each appliance model can be equipped with Wi-Fi as an option.
3.) ManageEngine Previews OpManager Upgrade for Service Providers: ManageEngine announced the preview of the upcoming major upgrade of OpManager, its data center and network monitoring software. The next version of OpManager will feature 360-degree root cause analysis, enterprise-class scalability and a real-time user interface to help large enterprises and service providers ease their private cloud management.
ManageEngine has also optimized the user interface, enabling keyboard interactivity to support ultra-fast alarm processing — an industry-first for a web-based network management application. Instead of forcing users to click their way through alarms using a mouse, OpManager will let users clear an alarm using the ALT+C combination from a keyboard.
To reduce the capital expense as well as the operating expense associated with data center and network monitoring, the upcoming version of OpManager will include a highly scalable engine that helps scale up to 5,000 devices or 50,000 interfaces from a single enterprise server.
Network360 and the real-time UI are available in beta for OpManager 10 Essential Edition and Enterprise Edition. The enterprise-scale engine is available in beta for OpManager 10 Enterprise Edition. OpManager customers can try them via the beta program. OpManager Enterprise Edition prices start at $16,495 for 500 devices.
4.) Dot Hill Reduces Cost-per-Gigabyte of Storage with New 4TB Disk Options: Dot Hill Systems Corp. announced last week its AssuredSAN™ and AssuredSAN Pro storage solutions are among the first in the industry to ship with 4 terabyte (4TB) SAS hard disk drives. Supporting raw capacities of up to 384TB, Dot Hill storage arrays now provide customers with significantly lower cost-per-gigabyte options than ever before.
4TB drives are available today for all current Dot Hill AssuredSAN and AssuredSAN Pro solutions. Average selling prices are expected to begin at $17,684 for an AssuredSAN 2333 populated with twelve 4TB drives.
5.) NTH Generation Joins DataCore Premier Partner Program: DataCore Software said last week that NTH Generation has joined the DataCore Premier Partner Program to provide organizations with the advanced, scalable, high performance and cost effective IT infrastructures
