Years ago, to promote the Microsoft 70-282 certification exam, we ran some low cost radio ads inviting IT Pros to an exam cram workshop. It’s where I learned the phrase “dollar a holler.” Over this past weekend, I was thinking about Office 365 pricing, and that phrase crept back into my mind. The following is not a perfect analogy, but its close enough. LOL.
Basically I’m looking at how you can inspect the value of the Office 365 E3 Plan. I need to make a few assumptions for my academic “dollar a holler” thesis to work. Assumptions are:
- Office 365 E3 costs $20/month USD.
- There are 20 working days per month (or 240 days per year) for the average worker bee when you amortize all holidays, vacation and sick time).
- You are running Office 365 E3.
I realize at this point that wiser minds are already two steps ahead of me. The Office 365 E3 plan is implicitly a dollar per day. Bottom line is that internal IT Pros can communicate this as a talking point to get project approval. MSPs can assert this argument to overcome any IT anxiety being experienced by customers.
