Red Hat, Inc. announced cloud management certification for Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform. This allows partners’ cloud management solutions to manage and interoperate with Red Hat Linux OpenStack Platform and assures Red Hat customers that OpenStack-based clouds and management solutions have been thoroughly tested and are supported by Red Hat and its partners.
The new certification program is significant for companies who want to use Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform at scale in a private cloud because it allows them to use a management solution of their choice, including management solutions from industry leaders BMC and HP.
“As OpenStack is becoming a core element of the enterprise cloud strategy for many customers, Red Hat Enterprise Linux OpenStack Platform is architected and backed by the broadest partner ecosystem to be the preferred platform,” Radhesh Balakrishnan, general manager, virtualization and OpenStack, Red Hat. The growth and maturity of the ecosystem reflects the evolution of the product moving from addressing infrastructure-centric alignment to help with early deployments to now be well-managed, to be part of enterprise hybrid cloud implementations.”
