The gUnify Salesforce Connector, released last week by gUnify , is a cloud-based system that works with BroadSoft and Google Chrome to boost value of Unified Communications as a Service, or UCaaS, business productivity. It allows users to integrate Salesforce CRM information on IP-connected devices with BroadSoft’s hosted unified communications platform and Google’s Chrome cross-platform browser.
The gUnify Salesforce Connector requires a one-time setup that unifies the Salesforce CRM and BroadSoft’s VoIP services through a single login. Google Chrome’s integration allows incoming calls to be displayed on the desktop even if Chrome isn’t running.
A “click-to-dial” feature in Chrome allows users to connect through a BroadSoft Service Provider. Features that enhance productivity include options to answer, decline, or send calls to voice mail as well as automatic call logging directly to the Salesforce CRM and note-taking capabilities.
The use of the cloud as the base for the system allows users to access their Salesforce CRM information from any location. The gUnify Salesforce Connector requires no software or browser plugin installation as, like all gUnify programs, it is based on Google applications. It also does not need a server to run, alleviating the need for additional server setup and maintenance.
The gUnify Salesforce Connector is available at the Google Chrome Web Store and the BroadSoft Marketplace.
