DoubleHorn Doubles up on Avaya’s Trunking, Platforms for Simplified UC

DoubleHorn Communications said that it is now offering an Avaya-centric Unified Communications and Collaboration (UC&C) solution. The offering combines DoubleHorn’s Avaya-compliant managed SIP Trunks with either Avaya Aura Communication Manager 6.2, Avaya Aura Session Manager 6.3 or Avaya IP Office 8.1, and includes the MyDoubleHorn Communications Platform, providing additional control over the UC&C environment. DoubleHorn is a Technology Partner in the Avaya DevConnect program.

The solutions are designed to meet the needs of SMEs with 20–2,000 employees. For most of these companies to benefit from UC&C they must overcome challenges including: sourcing software and related hardware components from numerous vendors, making significant capital expenditures, conducting testing to ensure interoperability of all components, tasking employees with day-to-day infrastructure management for performance and availability, and dealing with multiple vendors anytime a problem arises.

DoubleHorn has also created a comprehensive bundle that includes all hardware, software and services in a single, managed solution, backed by an end-to-end Service Level Agreement (SLA). DoubleHorn has done the work of testing and proving interoperability between the company’s Avaya-Compliant managed SIP trunk, Avaya UC&C platforms, and the underlying transport network.

Additionally, DoubleHorn provides the MyDoubleHorn customer portal. This online resource allows customers to view the performance of their UC&C network; interact with DoubleHorn support; configure Direct Inward Dialing capabilities if desired; even provision additional SIP trunks anytime, on their own.
