Global IT solutions distribution leader Avnet Technology Solutions, an operating group of Avnet, Inc., today announced its Avnet Services business unit is working with the Linux Foundation to offer popular Linux courses through Avnet Academy in both online and classroom settings worldwide.
This strategic agreement will allow Avnet Academy, which currently offers about 2,500 courses related to solutions from technology manufacturers such as IBM and VMware, to expand its cross-platform solution offerings.
“Linux is a critical platform for nearly all the major technology manufacturers Avnet works with worldwide,” said Matt Fox, senior director of education solutions for Avnet Services. “We’ve seen demand for Linux education, and we’ve worked diligently to provide these courses.”
